Larisa Pichugina

Larisa was born in the Zhostovo village in the family which produced several generations of talented painters. She attended the V.I. Dyuzhaev’s course at the Fedoskino Miniature Art School and has been working at the Zhostovo Factory of Decorative Painting since 1983. She learned the traditional Zhostovo painting techniques and secrets of the craft from her mother G.M. Podymova, they have been working side-by-side for years. Her artwork represents the classics of the Zhostovo art both in colour schemes and floral forms and compositions. Gorgeous corpulent garden flowers and romantic wild grasses are artfully inscribed into trays of various sizes and shapes as well as into other items. Participant of art exhibitions. The works by this artist are kept in the Museum of the Zhostovo Factory of Decorative Painting.
